Puyallup homeschooled teen serves as House page

Austin Grandon of Puyallup served as a page in the Washington State House of Representatives. He was sponsored by Rep. Terry Nealey, R-Dayton. During his week in the Legislature, Austin helped lawmakers by delivering documents, bills and amendments to their offices and their desks on the House floor. He also attended Legislative Page School. To serve as a page for the House of Representatives, a student must:
- Have permission from a parent or guardian;
- Have permission from school;
- Be sponsored by a current member of the House of Representatives; and
- Be at least 14 years of age and not have reached his or her 17th birthday.
